Deutsche Bank Private Bank has appointed Michael Ostro as head of alternatives specialists, effective September 28.
Based in Singapore, he reports to Gian Maria Piccolo, head of investment management, emerging markets. He will work closely with investment, product and front-office teams across regions.
Ostro brings deep expertise across private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure investing. He joins the firm from Union Bancaire Privée ( UBP ), where he most recently served as head of investor relations for the private markets group. In this function, he led global capital formation and investor relations activities across UBP's private markets platform, while partnering closely with front-office teams and investment professionals to drive client engagement and business growth.
Previously, as head of Asia private markets group, Ostro played a key role in expanding UBP's private markets franchise across the region, launching multiple investment solutions and significantly increasing both assets and revenues.
